Remember last week when I talked about the “behind the scenes” videos we’re making for Love in the Time of Monsters? Well, we’ve got some big stuff going down this week. Without giving too much away, lets just say it involves Kane Hodder and some awesome special effects. I’m really excited about it, there’s just one problem: I’m not going to be there to see it take place!
Due to extraneous circumstances, I’m out of town this week. I tried my best to organize the video shoot for when I was around, but due to crazy schedules, it turned out to be imposssible. If we were going to get the good stuff, it had to be when I was gone. And let’s face it, if I have to choose between Kane Hodder and myself, I think it’s pretty clear who’s going to miss it.
I was a little nervous about not being there at first, but I had to remember a valuable lesson in life (and producing): sometimes you just got to let it go. I have a great, capable team of people “watching my back” while I’m gone. I had time to set things up before I left, and it’s not like I’m completely out of touch; we aren’t exactly using rotary dial telephones and dialup modems these days. So with my trusty smartphone and free wi-fi access, I can produce from afar and not worry so much about being in the room. Turns out letting it go might not be so bad after all…
Can’t wait to see what the team comes up with. Stay tuned to Uncle Slavko’s for more updates and awesome videos!
